There are certain projects that require items to be moved from the shop on a trailer to a job-site for testing and then returned back to the shop the same day.
I wanted a trailer to use as a Workshop Platform with threaded levelers …
The threaded levelers can quickly be raised to move the trailer with a vehicle …
The Tongue/Yoke can be quickly removed; yet, the trailer can still be moved around the workshop using a 3rd wheel raised and lowered as needed.
Had an older 4ft x 8ft trailer which I had already drawn into SolidWorks.
Didn’t use it much because the 8 foot trailer was too long to easily move around the shop ~ Even when I took off the Tongue/Yoke it was still too long.
Used parts from the old 4ft x 8ft trailer to design the new modified trailer …
I will be using the supports from the leftover 4ft x 4ft section inside the modified trailer to add additional strength and stability.
It appears all I will have to do is drill a few additional holes and paint the parts.
When I have the finished ‘real-life’ Modified Workshop Platform Trailer done I will update this post with several photographs.
